The German Government, represented by the German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), has committed up to 20.45 million EUR as a soft loan for the project “Energy Efficiency in the Central Transmission and Distribution Network” (Project). The Project measures comprise the rehabilitation and modernization of outdated and increasingly failing equipment in approx. up to 30 substations of the CES. If not replaced, such outdated equipment would lead to increasing disruptions in the normal operation of the CES. The Project measures shall increase the availability and reliability of the network by reducing outages from increasingly failing substation equipment and thus reducing the amount of energy not served (“ENS”).

Requested Services:

This advertisement for prequalification refers to the services to be rendered and financed under the Technical Assistance (TA). The Consultant shall mainly cooperate with NTPG in the successful implementation of the project.

The duties shall comprise but are not limited to assistance in the following areas:

• Support of NTPG in the framework of various measures during procurement and implementation of the Programme such as verification of designs, procurement of goods including preparation of bidding documents and evaluation of submitted bids.

• Monitoring and supervision during project implementation including verification that the equipment supply, the civil works and installation contracts are fulfilled in accordance with their stipulations.

• General programme support, including reporting.
